A backlog of questions for Biden

Tommy Pigott - March 25, 2021

The record has been set.

This being his 65th day in office, Joe Biden has gone the longest of any president in modern American history without having his first press conference. Needless to say, there’s a huge backlog of questions Biden needs to answer.

Here are just a few:

1. Is there a crisis at the border?

2. Migrants cite your policies for why they are coming to the border. Do you stand by your policy changes and messaging that created the crisis?

3. Why did you ignore the warning signs from members of your own party about a border crisis? Why are you still not going to the border even as the crisis worsens?

4. Axios reported you support getting rid of the filibuster. Yes or no, do you support that?

5. Why did you abandon Keystone workers by eliminating their jobs first, before releasing your “jobs plan”? How many jobs are you willing to sacrifice for your agenda?

 6. When will you call on teachers unions to return to schools? Do you condemn their efforts to cast doubt on recent CDC guidance that reaffirms schools can and should safely reopen?

7. Why have you slow-rolled a return to normalcy for Americans while doing almost nothing to stop the spread of COVID on the border?

8. Do you condemn Democrat governors like Andrew Cuomo and Gretchen Whitmer for their disastrous nursing home orders? Do you stand by praising them during the campaign?

9. Do you believe paid party operatives should be able to harvest ballots, as forced upon states in Democrats’ H.R. 1 power grab?

10. Have you heard of Operation Warp Speed? If so, why do you continuously try to falsely claim credit for the work the Trump administration did with vaccines?

11. On July 28, you questioned whether a vaccine would be “real” and whether there would be a “consensus” that “this is a safe vaccine.” Do you stand by your statements spreading doubt about the vaccine?

12. Do you support Nancy Pelosi’s effort to overrule a bipartisan commission in Iowa and defy the will of Iowa voters to expel Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks from her seat?

13. How can you call your $1.9 trillion boondoggle a “relief bill” when only 9% will be spent on directly fighting the coronavirus, only 1 % will be spent on vaccines, and only 0.3% will be spent this fiscal year to reopen schools?

14. One of your first tax proposals already breaks your campaign pledge, “If you make less than $400,000, you won’t see one single penny in additional federal tax.” Why are you so quick to break your promise to the American people in favor of raising their taxes during a pandemic?

15. Given your repeated campaign promise of transparency, why do you continually ignore questions from the press and why won’t you let the press see Border Patrol facilities?

During his first 65 days, Biden has created a border crisis, he has passed a $1.9 trillion boondoggle that prioritizes liberal allies over the American people, he has falsely taken credit for Operation Warp Speed, he has abandoned American energy workers, he has kowtowed to Democrat special interest groups on schools, and he has long forgotten his promises of bipartisan and unity.

All the while, he has hidden from the American people as they pay the price for his disastrous policies.
