It took two days of rioting across the country until Joe Biden finally released a statement, published after midnight this morning, to urge for an end to the violence.
Took until 1218 am Sunday morning — after a second straight day of national rioting — for the Biden campaign to put out a statement urging an end to the wanton violence.

As National Journal’s Josh Kraushaar observed: “[M]any top Democrats were sending the same message that it’s not necessary to offer warnings against violence and vandalism.”
Absolutely appalling.
Here are just a few examples of the violence that occurred across the country while Biden was silent.
In Minneapolis, rioters destroyed the bar that a black firefighter had bought with his life savings. Rioters burned and lootedminority owned businesses and set fire to a Minneapolis police station as well. Video footage of rioters beating a female shop owner has emerged, liquor stores have been ransacked forcing them to close permanently, and in Dallas, horrifying video emerged of rioters beating a man unconscious.
The Intercept's Lee Fang gets to the heart of the problem:
What’s the purpose of the destruction of Chinatown shops in Oakland, immigrant owned restaurants in Minneapolis, the many small businesses with no connection to police misconduct terrorized for no reason at all, why? So many privileged reporters and pundits cheering on this hate.

As President Trump said Friday, “The looters should not be allowed to drown out the voices of so many peaceful protesters… I understand the hurt. I understand the pain… The family of George is entitled to justice and the people of Minnesota are entitled to live in safety. Law and order will prevail. The Americans will honor the memory of George and the Floyd family.”
And yesterday, President Trump emphasized, “In America, justice is never achieved at the hands of an angry mob… Every citizen and every community has the right to be safe in their workplace, safe in their homes, and safe on our city streets… We will stand with the family of George Floyd, with the peaceful protesters, and with every law-abiding citizen who wants decency, civility, safety, and security. We are working toward a more just society, but that means building up, not tearing down. Joining hands, not hurling fists. Standing in solidarity, not surrendering to hostility.”
That is presidential leadership.
Bottom Line: Joe Biden prides himself on being “Middle Class Joe” yet when rioters start destroying hard working American’s businesses, he’s silent.
