When it comes to providing clear leadership on safely reopening schools, Joe Biden is the chronically absent president. As America’s families continue to suffer, more and more people are asking: Where is Joe Biden?

President Joe Biden and his aides are having difficulty settling on an answer to that question…BIDEN, asked about assertions from the White House that at least one day a week of classroom schooling would deliver on his reopening pledge: “No, that’s not true. That’s what was reported. That’s not true. That was a mistake in the communication.” THE FACTS: That’s a stretch. A mere mistake by the White House could have been corrected by the White House days ago.

And, short of that, when can children safely return to school?...But the schools carry particular political sensitivity for Biden, who must balance the desires of parents to send their children back to school, after a year of having to manage their education from home, with the fears of teachers and their unions.
One growingly obvious answer: Joe Biden is afraid to upset Democrat special interest groups by putting children and parents first. Even CNN is calling out Biden’s “doublespeak” on reopening schools for being “just about politics.”

American families need leadership, not kowtowing to Democrat special interest groups. It’s past time for Biden to show up and safely reopen the schools.
