The Biden administration’s narrative on the border continued to collapse today.
Just in the past few days, the Biden administration repeatedly claimed it was “expelling” families that cross the border in all but “narrow, narrow circumstances.”
However, new Axios reporting indicates that the administration was not telling the truth.
Far from the vast majority Press Secretary Jen Psaki asserted just yesterday, only 13% of the nearly 13,000 family members attempting to illegally cross the border were returned to Mexico last week.
The remaining 87% were allowed to remain in the U.S. awaiting immigration proceedings, with some migrants provided taxpayer-funded hotel rooms, some released at bus stops and given the ability to travel freely, and some even released without a court date.
And to cover for their false assertions, the Biden administration continues to enforce its “media blackout” on the border. I guess they believe the media can’t fact-check what they aren’t allowed to see.

As the crisis on the border only continues to grow, Biden denies, misleads, and obfuscates. Americans deserve better.
