“Joe Biden’s racially insensitive comments towards Indian Americans are unacceptable, and his history proves this is not a one-off slip up, but a pattern of pervasive racial bias.” – Kara Caldwell, Deputy Director of Media Affairs, APA
Joe Biden has a long history of making racially insensitive comments at the expense of nearly every minority group.
Last week, Biden told Swati Mohan, NASA’s guidance and controls operations engineer for the Mars Perseverance Rover Landing, that “Indian-descent Americans are taking over the country.”
His comments towards Indian Americans are particularly troubling as this is not the first time he has made harmful remarks about Indian American immigrants.
In 2006, Biden said, “You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking.”
Bottom Line: Racially insensitive comments are far too common from Biden to be accidental.
