Biden’s War On American Energy Has Begun

- January 27, 2021

Joe Biden Already Killed Thousands Of Energy Jobs With The Stroke Of A Pen, And His Disastrous Choice Of Jennifer Granholm For Energy Secretary Would Kill Even More

 ___________________________

TODAY, PRESIDENT BIDEN TOOK HIS WAR ON AMERICAN ENERGY TO THE NEXT LEVEL AND BEGAN TO IMPLEMENT A BAN ON FEDERAL OIL AND GAS LEASING

Today, President Biden directed federal agencies to determine how expansive a ban on new oil and gas leasing on federal land should be, the first step in implementing his proposed ban.

The new clampdown goes further than Mr. Biden’s actions on Inauguration Day, which halted the Interior Department and other agencies’ authority to issue drilling leases or permits for 60 days.

Halting oil and gas leasing on federal lands has real consequences for workers and consumers:

Banning oil and gas leasing on federal lands would cost the U.S. economy $700 billion.

U.S. consumers will pay an extra $500 billion to foreign energy suppliers.

Biden’s ban would kill nearly a million jobs by 2022.

In 2019, the leasing program generated $11.7 billion in tax revenue that federal, state, local and tribal governments will now have to find elseware or risk budget shortfalls.

BIDEN’S CRUSADE AGAINST AMERICAN ENERGY BEGAN ON THE FIRST DAY OF HIS ADMINISTRATION WHEN HE CANCELED THE KEYSTONE XL PIPELINE, WILLING THOUSANDS OF JOBS WITH THE STROKE OF A PEN

President Biden signed an order canceling the Keystone XL pipeline.

The pipeline is “vital” to U.S. energy independence and Biden’s decision moves the country back toward reliance on foreign energy markets controlled by OPEC and other oil cartels.

By killing the project Biden will eliminate about 11,000 U.S. jobs, including 8,000 union jobs.

Canadian officials have condemned the move saying that canceling the project would hurt both countries and “weaken the critically important Canada-U.S. relationship, and undermine U.S. national security.”

Workers across the country are already being impacted by Biden’s job-killing agenda: one laid-off Keystone worker spoke out saying the decision to cancel the pipeline “is going to hurt a lot of people.”

Hundreds” of workers in Wisconsin were laid off almost immediately after Biden signed the order canceling construction on the pipeline.

The United Association of Union Plumbers and Pipefitters slammed the decision in a statement saying, “Sadly, the Biden Administration has now put thousands of union workers out of work.”

AT THE SAME TIME, BIDEN TOOK STEPS TO KILL EVEN MORE JOBS BY REJOINING THE PARIS CLIMATE AGREEMENT

On President Biden’s very first day in office, be began the 30-day process to rejoin the disastrous Paris Climate Agreement.

Economists estimate that the agreement will cost the U.S. economy millions of jobs over the next decade.

TODAY, THE WOMAN EXPECTED TO EXECUTE BIDEN’S JOB-KILLING AGENDA AS SECRETARY OF ENERGY, FORMER MICHIGAN GOVERNOR JENNIFER GRANHOLM, WILL APPEAR BEFORE THE SENATE

The Senate will consider President Biden's nomination of former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm to lead the Energy Department today.

Granholm is enthusiastic about carrying out this radical climate plan, she even praised Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) Green New Deal saying that the legislation is an “important framework for what Joe Biden has put on tap.”

Granholm’s time as Governor of Michigan has prepared her perfectly to execute Biden’s job-killing agenda, her tenure was marked by a “poor economy and a rising unemployment rate.”

Michigan was hit hard by the Great Recession and then Governor Granholm’s “highly counterproductive” policies only made things worst.

It’s unsurprising that she was “highly unpopular” when she left office after years of failing to fix the state’s economy and never ending partisan gridlock.
