Following two days of testimony, Jared Kushner is receiving bipartisan praise for his cooperation with members of Congress.
Rep. Mike Conaway (R-TX): “His answers were forthcoming and complete. He satisfied all my questions,” said Rep. Mike Conaway (R-Texas), who’s leading the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, including possible collusion between Moscow and the Trump campaign.
- More Conaway: Mike Conaway of Texas, the Republican leading the panel’s investigation into Russian meddling in last year’s election, said Kushner “wanted to answer every question we had.”
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA): The top Democrat on the panel, Adam Schiff of California, described the more than three-hour meeting as “a very productive session -- an opportunity to ask about a range of issues the committee was concerned about.” Kushner was receptive to returning to the committee for more questioning, he said.

Rep. Tom Rooney (R-FL): “He had his prepared statement but most of the questions he was just answering directly,” Republican Tom Rooney of Florida, one of the main questioners, told reporters. “He wasn’t relying on, you know, his prepared statement that I could tell. I mean he was very forthright. Mr. Kushner was extremely forthright and believable to me,” Rooney said.
Rep. Peter King (R-NY): “He answered every question, answered it fully — first, second, third, fourth, the whole ten times they asked him. He was asked and re-asked the same questions over and over again,” he continued. “I think he answered everything fully. I think he did an excellent job. He was very candid, very open.”
Kushner told members he's willing to come back and answer more questions, per Mike Conaway, who said Kushner was "honest" and "forthcoming"
