It’s day two of Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s hearing and while Amy Klobuchar has joined her fellow Democrats in their attempts to discredit President Donald Trump’s nominee, her fellow Minnesota Democrats are doing anything they can to support their side’s continued obstruction.
Tina Smith is hoping to show her metro-centric base how cool she is by consistently showing her disdain for Judge Kavanaugh’s appointment. “I *strongly* oppose his nomination,” Smith tweeted during the hearings.
Meanwhile, Keith Ellison is hoping to score some political points by campaigning against Kavanaugh’s confirmation. In an fundraising email to supporters, he thanked “Senate Democrats for their strong efforts to stop this dangerous and irresponsible nomination to the Supreme Court.”
I guess the old saying is true – birds of a feather, flock together.
“Minnesota Democrats are working overtime in their attempts to derail the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh. Despite a stellar background and impeccable credentials, Democrats like Keith Ellison, Amy Klobuchar, and Tina Smith are more worried about losing their seats in November then they are about maintaining the independence of the judicial branch. Minnesotans are tired of the obstructionist tactics that plague our politics. This November, they can say no to the gridlock in government by forcing them to find new jobs in January.” – RNC Spokesperson Preya Samsundar
