She said she was driving around in an RV. Instead she was flying private.
In the you can't make it up department: Sen. Claire McCaskill's campaign said she was taking an RV trip. But her private plane seemed to take the same route as the bus. https://t.co/P9SSPxeTkd— Josh Dawsey (@jdawsey1) June 12, 2018
In 2012, Sen. “Air Claire” McCaskill (D-MO) infamously told her husband to sell their “damn plane” after the former auditor herself failed to pay over $300,000 in taxes on it. By 2017, she had replaced the “damn plane” with a new one and was telling Missourians that “normal people” can afford to fly private.
Now reporter Brent Scher is taking the “damn plane” drama to new heights, adding more turbulence to her already choppy re-election bid. Scher discovered that after “Air Claire” made a big deal about her taking an RV trip across the state, her private plane took the exact same route across the state:
So far McCaskill and her campaign won’t answer any questions about this. With how fast the news is spreading, maybe someone can get her to respond?
This is fascinating. Claire McCaskill’s much-ballyhooed Missouri-wide "road trip" may not actually have been a road trip. Her private plane followed the same route as her campaign's RV for 3 days straight. https://t.co/7QIn75hE5i— David Martosko (@dmartosko) June 12, 2018
This is wild: Claire McCaskill said she was “hitting the road” in an RV, on a “Veterans For Claire” tour throughout MO. But her private plane took the same route, @FreeBeacon reports https://t.co/ln1wflN9fT— Rebecca Berg (@rebeccagberg) June 12, 2018
