After
months of delay, Abdul El-Sayed has finally released
his tax returns â at least in part.
For a
candidate who has built his political brand on âgetting money out of politics,â
El-Sayedâs own return tells a different story.
According
to the return, he reported $686,069 in total income for 2025 â placing him
comfortably among the nationâs highest-earning
households.
The
filing also raises some mysterious questions.
The
largest single source of income is listed only as "additional
income," offering little explanation about where it came from. Meanwhile,
El-Sayed still has not filed the personal financial disclosure required of
Senate candidates after receiving
an extension that conveniently pushes the deadline until after
the August primary.
