Comstock stands for commuters; Wexton sits on her hands

Garren Shipley - July 19, 2018

It’s been four days since Metro’s largest union, Amalgamated Transit Union Local 869, voted to authorize an illegal strike that would cripple Northern Virginia, and Virginia Republicans like Barbara Comstock are standing up for commuters.

“For this union to put this whole region on the verge of paralysis is outrageous,” Comstock said on WMAL’s Mornings on the Mall. From Richmond to Washington, Republicans are adamant — commuters, not out of control union leadership, come first.

Meanwhile, Democrat Jennifer Wexton hasn’t said the first word. Why? Maybe because of the $10,000 check she cashed from the very same union.

“When it comes to standing up for our local commuters, Jennifer Wexton stays silent as the big labor bosses threaten to cripple the region. She has said nothing for 4 days. Barbara Comstock will stand up for commuters and common sense, cost saving measures.  Jennifer Wexton will cater to Maryland union bosses..” — Garren Shipley, RNC spokesman.
