While President Trump was reassuring the American people that “we can meet the moment,” Democrats threw a partisan temper tantrum.
President Trump’s leadership to confront the coronavirus encouraged the “greatest mobilization in the industrial base since World War II,” and it has led to the delivery of large quantities of medical supplies and thousands of hospital beds.
Meanwhile, Democrats filibustered and blocked the stimulus bill that would provide more needed resources to American workers and businesses.
The Senate currently does NOT have enough votes to break a Democratic filibuster and proceed to the stimulus bill. The vote is still ongoing but at the moment GOP lacks the 60 votes needed to proceed. That means bipartisan talks will have to continue in order to cut a deal

1) The Senate bill is bipartisan; assembled with D input from Day One. Everyone understands need for liquidity, and biz $ that get out fast and stop more layoffs. Ds's also got plenty, from unemployment plus-ups to medical surge, to more gov $. They NOW claim not enough?

Bottom Line: The Democrats’ politicization of coronavirus is going to have untold consequences. And as Leader McConnell noted tonight, the Democrats’ “obstruction achieves nothing.”
