This morning, the Sunday shows continued to push dishonest smears directed at President Trump’s aggressive response to Coronavirus.
During VP Mike Pence’s interview on Meet The Press, Chuck Todd misled viewers about who was politicizing Coronavirus.
Reminder: It’s Democrats and the media who are using Coronavirus to score political points, not Republicans like Chairwoman McDaniel or Donald Trump Jr.
- Chuck Schumer and Elizabeth Warren have falsely accused President Trump of not having a plan to respond to Coronavirus despite CDC having a 52-page planned response.
- Joe Biden and Michael Bloomberg have “distort[ed] Coronavirus readiness” and accused President Trump of cutting funding to the CDC and the NIH.
- AP Fact Check: “financing has increased” to both agencies.
- Bloomberg is also buying 3 minutes of commercial space tonight to run a campaign ad about Coronavirus. That’s peak politicization right there.
On State of the Union, Jake Tapper brushed over Democrats’ smears of President Trump to criticize Donald Trump Jr. for calling out the Democrats’ unhinged rhetoric.
Reminder: Democrat Rep. John Garamendi has gone as far as to threaten Don Jr.
And opponents of President Trump have suggested that if they got Coronavirus, they would purposely attend Trump campaign rallies to infect as many of President Trump’s supporters as possible.
And on Face The Nation, The New York Times’ diplomatic correspondent Edward Wong perpetuated the false narrative pushed by Politico and elected Democrats that President Trump called Coronavirus a hoax.
Bottom Line: While President Trump has directed the full resources of the federal government to combat Coronavirus, Democrats and the Sunday shows have not followed President Trump’s call to not incite panic. For President Trump’s opponents, Coronavirus is sadly their latest cudgel to hit President Trump. It’s disgraceful and must end immediately.
