Do-Nothing Donnelly in Danger

Michael Joyce - March 8, 2018

According to a new Axios/Survey Monkey poll, if the November election were held today, Senator Donnelly would lose by 6 points to a Republican candidate. Looks like obstructing every major legislative priority of the Trump-Pence agenda (including tax reform) doesn’t sit well with Hoosiers. Not only did President Trump win Indiana by 19 points in 2016, the President’s approval rating in the state sits at 53% while Donnelly’s sits at 45%.

“The fact that Senator Donnelly as an incumbent is already behind in the polls just goes to show that he has been a do-nothing Senator and hasn’t represented Hoosier values. Donnelly hasn’t passed a single bill after spending a decade in Washington, was rated the least effective Democrat in the Senate, and obstructs every major legislative priority of the Trump-Pence agenda. Clearly Hoosiers have seen enough and want to replace Donnelly in November.” –RNC Spokesperson Michael Joyce
