Hidin' Biden is back in his basement

Tommy Pigott - March 3, 2021

Joe Biden, where are you?!?!

It’s been 6 weeks since Biden took office, and according to Press Secretary Jen Psaki, Biden STILL has no plans to have a press conference. There’s a good reason he’s hiding. His time in office has been marked by terrible policy, mismanagement, and contradiction within his administration.

Here’s just 10 questions of many Biden should answer.

  1. Psaki said she had “nothing more” when asked about how you would replace oil and gas jobs killed by your energy policies. Workers are suffering – where is your plan?
  2. Were you just not paying attention when your press secretary claimed for days that your reopening goal was only 50% of the schools for one day a week?
  3. Why are you holding students and working parents hostage for a bill that would only spend $6 billion on reopening schools this year, especially when up to $63 billion for reopening schools from past bills remains unspent?
  4. You said “no” when asked if there was a border crisis. Border-state Democrats though are already saying the consequences of your policies will be “catastrophic.” How bad will the situation need to get before you admit there is a crisis?
  5. Did you know a huge amount of Democrat pork spending was in the bill when you asked, “What would you have me cut”?
  6. How can you possibly call your $1.9 trillion wish list a “relief bill” when hundreds of billions of dollars won’t be spent until after 100% of Americans are vaccinated?
  7. When discussing China’s human rights abuses, you downplayed those concerns, saying “culturally there are different norms.” Your Secretary of State said that the Chinese are committing genocide against the Uighurs. What “different norms” make that acceptable to you?
  8. Your press secretary keeps saying you’re “not in a rush” to counter China. How long do we have to wait for you to hold China accountable?
  9. Have you heard of Operation Warp Speed, or are you just trying to conveniently rewrite history?
  10. Do you agree with your Interior Secretary nominee Deb Haaland that oil and gas extraction on public lands should be permanently banned?

The American people deserve a president willing to answer their questions, not one that cowers from the public eye.  Far from the transparent administration Biden promised, Biden has decided to run the government from his basement.
