How to lose an endorsement in 10 days

Nicole Tardif - June 14, 2018

It’s been a rough week for Gina Raimondo’s re-election campaign to rack up endorsements.

First, U.S. Rep. John Lewis all, but said he was conned into endorsing her against long-time friend Matt Brown.

Now, prominent women’s rights advocate Gloria Steinem of NARAL joined a long list of women hoping to see Raimondo’s short tenure as Governor come to an end.

Ouch.

If Reckless Raimondo can’t even rally her base around her flawed candidacy, how can she expect to gain the approval of the majority of Ocean State voters?

“Gloria Steinem’s endorsement of Reckless Gina Raimondo’s opponent is just the latest shoe to drop in what’s been an awful week for Raimondo. Gina’s chances at Rhode Islanders keeping her around continue to dwindle day after day, but really, you can’t lose something you never had.”-- RNC Spokesperson Nicole Tardif
