RNC Chairwoman: President Trump Is Leading On The Gun Debate

CHAIRWOMAN MCDANIEL: The President is leading on this issue. He has met with the victims of these horrible shootings, and he has said, 'I am not going to rest. We’ve got to get something accomplished.' He has put forward his ideas, which are obviously banning bump stocks, enhanced background checks. We need to address mental health as well. He has talked to the governors; he understands that they are going to look at state issues. But he is looking to Congress to say let’s come together and get things done on the things that we can agree with to make our schools safer.
