Just a couple days ago, Nancy Pelosi came to Phoenix and brought her “Armageddon” with her, still claiming that the “tax cuts are ineffective.” Under the flawed impression that skipping a photo-op with the D.C. elitist would deceive voters of her true allegiance, Kyrsten Sinema avoided her pal Pelosi like the plague.
From The Arizona Republic:
"I've never been afraid to stand up to party bosses," Sinema said, noting she didn't vote for Pelosi for House leadership on three occasions. "We have a different approach to solving the problems that our country faces."
While Kyrsten Sinema didn’t want to be seen with her pal, Nancy Pelosi had no problem extolling her support for the Arizona liberal. Also from The Arizona Republic:
"Well, she’s a valued representative of her district and I respect that, and we’re very excited about her prospect of becoming a senator," Pelosi told reporters after her remarks to attendees.
Kyrsten Sinema might claim that she’ll stand up to Democratic leadership, but clearly that’s not the case since they’re so “excited” for her to be elected to the Senate.
“Concerned with maintaining her ‘independent’ façade, Kyrsten Sinema avoided being seen with her pal Nancy Pelosi this week. But just skipping a photo-op doesn’t change her record of voting with Nancy Pelosi 76% of the time or voting with Democratic leadership against the historic tax cuts. Sinema has made it clear where her loyalties lie, and it’s not with the Grand Canyon State. Like Vice President Pence said, ‘Arizonans deserve better.’” – Renae Eze, RNC Spokesperson
