Joe Biden Visits Pennsylvania To Help Herd Conor Lamb To Pelosi’s Flock

- March 6, 2018

Between Party Leaders Stumping For Him And The Influx Of PAC Spending He Once Decried, Lamb Is Showing Pennsylvanians His Loyalty Will Lie With Pelosi And Not With Them

TOP TAKEAWAYS

  • Today, Former Vice President Joe Biden will be campaigning in the Pennsylvania 18th Congressional District with Democrat candidate Conor Lamb.
  • Biden's visit stands in stark contrast to Lamb's claim that he does not need to "rely on other politicians to generate excitement" for his campaign.
  • Despite Lamb's feeble attempts to distance himself from Beltway insiders and politicos, his campaign has received funding from national Democrats.
    • D.C. donors have donated over $240,000 to Lamb's campaign.
    • House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD) and his PAC have given Lamb a combined $7,000 in campaign contributions.
    • Members of the Pennsylvania House Democratic Coalition, who support Pelosi as Minority Leader, hosted a $1,000-per-person fundraiser for Lamb in January.
    • Representative Joe Kennedy III (D-MA) stumped for Lamb the day after giving his response to the State of The Union.
  • Despite saying "dark money" is "distorting the election," Lamb has been the political beneficiary of over $1.59 million from left-leaning PACs who either support him or are attacking his opponent, Rick Saccone.
  • Lamb has been vocal in his opposition to the tax cut bill, parroting Democrat talking points word-for-word while ignoring the benefits already being passed on to his potential constituents.

DESPITE SAYING HIS CAMPAIGN DOESN'T NEED OTHER POLITICIANS, LAMB IS HAPPY TO LET NATIONAL DEMOCRATS CAMPAIGN AND SPEND FOR HIM AS ELECTION DAY DRAWS NEAR

(Chris Potter, "Biden To Support Conor Lamb With March 6 Visit To Area," Pittsburgh Post-Gazette , 3/1/18)
