Joe Donnelly is Paranoid about His No Vote on Tax Reform

Michael Joyce - February 13, 2018

Do-Nothing Democrat Joe Donnelly’s campaign sent out the most desperate press release of the 2018 election cycle to date, claiming that he is the third most Democrat to vote in support of President Trump. Now that tax reform is positively impacting Indiana and Hoosiers are beginning to see larger paychecks due to the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, Democrats like Senator Donnelly are beginning to realize how foolish and potentially fatal their partisan obstruction to President Trump’s tax cut truly was:

Donnelly had every opportunity to work in a bipartisan fashion to deliver the historic tax cuts to the American people, but chose Chuck Schumer over Hoosiers instead.

Speaking of 62%, it’s important to note that Joe Donnelly has voted with Elizabeth Warren (“Propublica Head To Head Voting Report,” Propublica, Accessed 2/13/18) and Bernie Sanders (“Propublica Head To Head Voting Report,” Propublica, Accessed 2/13/18) 62% of the time during the 115th Congress to date. During that same time span, Donnelly has voted with his party boss Chuck Schumer (“Propublica Head To Head Voting Report,” Propublica, Accessed 2/13/18) 77% of the time. Maybe that’s why Schumer held recent fundraisers for Donnelly in Houston and Kentucky, with another one on the books for next week.

Also, since Donnelly is trying really hard to appear as if he is suddenly supportive of the President, flashback to September when he told David Axelrod that the Trump base is un-American

“Hoosiers haven’t forgotten that Senator Joe Donnelly called the Trump base un-American back in September, and they certainly won’t be forgetting that Donnelly opposed President Trump’s tax cut anytime soon. When Hoosiers go to vote in November, they’ll have the opportunity to replace Senator Donnelly with someone who will actually be supportive of the Trump-Pence agenda moving forward.” –RNC Spokesperson Michael Joyce
