Patricia F. Saiki was elected State Chairman of Hawaii in March of 2014.
Saiki received her Bachelors of Science from the University of Hawaii. Patricia dedicated over ten years of her early career to elementary school, middle school, and high school education. She continued her commitment to education through community service at the University of Hawaii, Hawaii Pacific College, as well as serving on the board for the Funding and Improvement of Post-Secondary Education and the Western Interstate Commission on Higher Education. Her passion for the value of education continued as she pursued a teaching fellowship at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
Saiki had a very accomplished business career working on the Board of Directors of Bank of America, Hawaii. She devoted over ten years to the Board of Directors at AMFAC, Inc., Hawaii’s largest corporation, in addition to serving on the Board for Hawaiian Airlines. In 1991, Patricia was appointed by the President to serve as Administrator for the U.S. Small Business Administration in Washington D.C.
Patricia Saiki has held countless positions in politics and government. She served as the Chair for the Republican Party of Hawaii as well as Delegate for the Republican National Convention in both 1984 and 1988. Saiki served as Congresswoman from Hawaii’s first district from 1987-1991. She has held the republican nomination for Lieutenant Governor for Hawaii, U.S. Senate for Hawaii, and for the governor of Hawaii. In addition, Patricia was the Delegate and the Official Seconding Speaker for the Nomination of President George Bush at the Republican National Convention in 1992.
Miriam Hellreich was elected to the Republican National Committee as the National Committeewoman for Hawaii in 2001. She was first elected to the RNC in 1992 and has been a delegate to seven RNC conventions; she was Chairman of the Western States Leadership Conference and served on the RNC Site Selection Committee, Platform and Rules Committees. She has served as the Western Region’s Representative to the RNC’s Executive Committee and is currently the Vice Chairman of the Western Region of the RNC.
Ms. Hellreich is the President of Speech and Language Pathology Associates and served for seven years on the East West Center’s Board of Governors. She has been a trainer for the International Republican Institute in Turkey and served as the State Co-Chairman of the Reagan Bush and Bush Quayle Campaigns. She was a member of the Hawaii Finance Committee for the George W. Bush for President Campaign. She currently is the Chairman of the Capital Campaign for the Hawaii Republican Party and recently served as the Finance Director for the Linda Lingle Campaign for the U.S. Senate.
Ted Liu was elected to the Republican National Committee as National Committeeman for Hawaii in 2012.
Currently, Ted works with private equity investments in the energy, media and technology sectors, with trans-Pacific focus as the Vice Chairman of Jupiter Holdings LLC. Previously he was Director of Hawaii State Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism (DBEDT), serving in the Cabinet of Republican Governor Linda Lingle for two terms. Prior to that, Ted was a Managing Director with Morgan Stanley & Co., based in Hong Kong and responsible for the Firm’s investment banking business for China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Ted received his Bachelor Degree from the University of Michigan and his Juris Doctorate from New York University School of Law. He has lived in Taiwan, Brazil, and Hong Kong and currently resides in Hawaii with his wife Betty.
