Support the President's Supreme Court nominee
CHARLESTON, WV - Tuesday, Attorney General Patrick Morrisey addressed the media on the importance of confirming President Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee, Judge Brett Kavanaugh. Morrisey urged Sen. Joe Manchin to stop the political games and confirm the President's Supreme Court nominee.

The President chose Judge Brett Kavanaugh as his nominee for the U.S. Supreme Court, a highly qualified judged who will bring common sense to the bench, follow the constitution, and uphold the rule of law. "I am personally very thankful that Donald Trump is in the White House, not Hillary Clinton." said Morrisey "If Joe Manchin had his way, this would be the second radical pick that she would be allowed to make."
Morrisey discussed Manchin's flip-flop ways saying "This is a person who throughout his careers has been flip-flopping on every major issue that counts." He continued saying Manchin's support of Judge Kavanaugh will be "about his political survival. I think he believes he must support Brett Kavanaugh, otherwise, he will be assuredly going down in defeat in November." Morrisey went further to highlight Manchin's "full-throated endoresement in support" for Hillary Clinton and that he said it was a mistake to support her after the election was over. If Manchin had his way, Hillary Clinton would have nominated two Supreme Court justices.
In closing Morrisey said "What you will see over the next month, you began to see last week, is that Joe Manchin is flopping along, straddling the fence." This highlights the reason West Virginians deserve a change in representation. Manchin has spent years flip flopping on the issues of importance based on political winds in an effort to keep himself in office instead of voting for what is right for Mountaineers.
