Nebraska Dems Choose A Resist and Obstruct Candidate

Christiana Purves - May 16, 2018

Yesterday, the Nebraska Democrats took another lurch towards the left. The Washington Post said this morning that “Tuesday was a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day for Democratic moderates”  and boy were they right.

Last night, Nebraska Democrats nominated a single-payer supporting progressive in the 2nd Congressional District, showing just how out of touch they are with the state’s voters. Kara Eastman’s far left ideas would be better suited in Massachusetts, not Nebraska. Her government run healthcare plan and obstruct the President at all costs agenda will have a tough time winning over Nebraska voters this fall.

“Rather than nominate proven leaders and consensus builders, the Democrats nominated the most out of touch among them. Republicans look forward to supporting candidates that will fight for the people of Nebraska and their values in November.” -- RNC Spokesperson Christiana Purves
