In case you missed it, Amy Klobuchar was on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, to promote her new book, Nevertheless, We Persisted.
Klobuchar took a moment to give voters an inside look at the Senate Democrats perspective on Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the United States Supreme Court, but one portion of her conversation with Trevor Noah should trouble all Minnesotans.
“But in this instance, you have a Justice who people fear would go back and overturn Roe v. Wade,” Noah told Klobuchar. “Now, he said in the hearings that he respects precedents. I feel like you [Amy Klobuchar]don’t believe that.”
Her initial response to Judge Kavanaugh’s belief of respecting precedent? Laughter.
“Amy Klobuchar’s willingness to tow the party line instead of taking note of Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s testimony and body of work is inexcusable. Looking to please party boss Chuck Schumer, Klobuchar announced plans to vote against a highly qualified nominee before meeting with him.
