NYT botches "fact check of the day"

Michael Ahrens - June 27, 2018

The New York Times published a lengthy fact check this morning about immigration, arguing that Democrats don’t want “open borders.”

I guess The Times didn’t think the #2 official of the Democratic Party was worth mentioning at all. Just last month, Rep. Keith Ellison proudly wore a T-shirt that literally said: “I don’t believe in borders.”

Also not mentioned: 32% of Democrats say they want “open borders,” according to a recent Harvard-Harris poll.

Also not mentioned: A statement that raised eyebrows from the most recent leader of the Democratic Party, Hillary Clinton.

Also not mentioned: On Monday, Democratic Rep. Mark Pocan announced legislation to actually abolish U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Several current Democrats in Congress agree with abolishing the agency, including the radical 28-year-old socialist who upset the *Chair of the House Democratic Caucus* last night, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez:

Huh.
