Obamacare woes continue for Obama and 2014 Democrats

RNC Communications - July 31, 2013

Good morning, Obamacare woes continue for Obama and 2014 Democrats. At the same time news surfaced that Obama’s signature legislation will cost Americans another $12 billion because it wasn’t ready for primetime as many Republicans warned, two more states are bracing for higher healthcare costs. Georgia is reporting their premiums could triple and Florida rates are expected to rise as much as 40 percent for individuals and 20 percent for the small group market.

Washington Post: Obamacare’s price tag has just gone up by $12 billion, due to the White House’s decision to delay the employer mandate until 2015. The vast majority of that increase ($10 billion) reflects a reduction in the penalties that the government would have collected from employers who did not comply with the requirement to provide health insurance. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2013/07/30/obamacare-mandate-delay-costs-12-billion-cuts-insurance-coverage/
