The scientific evidence continues to come in – our schools can and should safely reopen.
As the Wall Street Journal reports, Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, like other Republican governors around the country, was able to get kids safely back in the classroom.
But still, Joe Biden and Democrats in Congress continue to put special interest groups first. As much as $63 billion remains unspent to reopen schools from previous bills, and in Biden’s $1.9 trillion boondoggle, only $6 billion, 0.3% of the bill, will be spent on schools this fiscal year. What’s worse, Democrats repeatedly blocked requirements that schools reopen while ramming through their hyper-partisan legislation.
The science is in – schools can safely reopen. Keeping schools closed has devastating effects on the mental health, social and economic situation, and academic achievement of America’s children. It’s past time for Biden to stand up to Democrat special interest groups and put American families first.
