President Calls For Law & Order, As Democrats Turn Blind Eye To Violence

- June 3, 2020

Across The Country, Peaceful Protests Over The Death Of George Floyd Have Been Co-Opted By Violent Anarchists And Extremists While Democrats And The Media Sit Back And Make Excuses

The Facts:

PRESIDENT TRUMP HAS TAKEN QUICK AND DECISIVE ACTION TO ENSURE THAT THE FAMILY OF GEORGE FLOYD WILL RECEIVE JUSTICE

  • On May 29, 2020, the Minneapolis police officer , Derek Chauvin, who was seen pressing his knee on George Floyd's neck was arrested and charged with murder.
  • President Trump immediately denounced the actions of the officer and requested the FBI and the Department of Justice initiate an investigation into the circumstances that led to Mr. Floyd's death.
    • President Trump : "My heart goes out to George's family and friends. Justice will be served."
  • President Trump, at a speech at the Kennedy Space Center, underscored further that the death of George Floyd was a " grave tragedy ," and "it should never have happened."
  • Following President Trump's comments, Attorney General William Barr also released a statement calling the death of Mr. Floyd, "deeply disturbing," and announced the Department of Justice would be conducting an independent investigation to see if any federal civil rights laws were violated.

FOLLOWING THE DEATH OF GEORGE FLOYD, OPPORTUNIST ANARCHISTS, ARSONISTS, CRIMINALS AND OTHERS LOOTED AMERICAN CITIES WHILE LIBERAL POLITICIANS AND THE MEDIA LOOKED ON AND MADE EXCUSES

  • Across the country, peaceful protests devolved into violence as looters ransacked stores in American cities:
    • The Wall Street Journal : "Manhattan Stores prepare for another night of looting."
    • Chicago Tribune : "Looting overshadows peaceful protests, as Pritzker battles Trump."
    • Fox 5 DC : "Vandals, looters leave stunning damage behind in DC."
    • CBS News : "In Minneapolis, a vibrant neighborhood now looted, burned and heartbroken.'"
    • The Philadelphia Inquirer : "On Philly's edge, looters hit stores hour after hour while Lower Merion police watched from the suburban side."
    • The Daily Beast's Rachel Olding: "Hard to describe how rampant the looting was tonight in Midtown Manhattan and how lawless it was. Complete anarchy. Literally hundreds of stores up and down Broadway, Fifth Ave, Sixth Ave. Kids ruling the streets like it was a party."
      • "It was like Mario Kart on the streets too. Dozens of $200k Mercs [sic] racing each other, nearly hitting people, only stopping to load up with bags of stolen stuff and speed on to the next spot."
  • Anarchists, Antifa members, and arsonists waged violence on American cities and stores:
    • The Star Tribune : "Riots, arson leave Minnesota communities of color devastated."
    • AJC.com : "Nashville Police arrest city hall arson suspect."
    • The Washington Post : "Fire set at historic St. John's church during protests of George Floyd's death."
    • WPVI Philadelphia : "Firefighters respond to multiple large fires over last 48 hours in Philadelphia."
    • Daily News : "Fires, mayhem and cop beaten in Bronx."
    • Fox 5 New York : "NYPD officers attacked with bricks, bottles, Molotov cocktail during George Floyd protest."
    • Fox News : "Ivy League trained lawyer allegedly tried to pass out firebombs to protestors.
  • Despite the destruction, liberal politicians and the media did nothing to quell the violence:
    • Media Research Center : "Media touts 'peaceful protestors' amidst rioting and looting."
    • Joe Biden's campaign staffers donated to group that pays bail money for riot torn Minneapolis.
    • Democrat Rep. Elliot Engel was caught on a hot mic saying he doesn't care about looting.
    • New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio was slammed by his own Democrat Governor who said he didn't do his job in his handling of the riots.
    • Mayor Muriel Bowser initially rejected imposing a curfew saying people who had been disruptive would not abide by it.
    • The Washington Post : "It appeared that on Sunday night and early Monday, officers did not attempt to corral the rioters."
    • Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti : "initially resisted calling the National Guard…but conditions have continued to deteriorate in sections of the city where businesses were being ransacked."
    • California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency in Los Angeles County only after "days of protests and bursts of violence around the city."
    • CNN Correspondent Sara Sidner excused looting, rioting, and arson as "lash[ing]" and "acting out."
    • Rep. Val Demings, in the running to be Joe Biden's Vice Presidential nominee, called for Americans to " resist " attempts at cracking down on rioting and looting.
    • On CNN, Women's March co-leader Tamika Mallory said she would handle looters by "arrest[ing] the cops."
    • CNN's Chis Cuomo: "Please, show me where it says protesters are supposed to be polite and peaceful."

THE PRESIDENT HAS PLEDGED TO PROTECT PEACEFUL PROTESTERS FROM BEING OVERRUN BY THESE VIOLENT AGITATORS AND HAS SWORN TO SEND IN MILITARY IF GOVERNORS WON'T TAKE STEPS TO STOP THE DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY
