Why is President Trump and Vice President Pence visiting Fayetteville today? Because the 9th District needs Dan Bishop in Congress:
- Under President Trump’s leadership, North Carolina has added 212,000 jobs since his election and dropped their unemployment rate almost a whole percent. Dan Bishop’s strong partnership with the President will continue to unleash North Carolina’s economic potential.
- Dan Bishop is a fighter for North Carolina families and their healthcare. Just last month, Bishop spearheaded bipartisan legislation in the North Carolina Senate which provides affordable healthcare options to small business workers.
- Bishop has been a leader fighting against illegal immigration, having long been a proud supporter of a border wall and has recently spoken out against the reckless policies of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff which led to the release of a dangerous illegal immigrant. Dan McCready, on the other hand, has rejected the idea of President Trump’s wall to secure our borders and instead supports sanctuary cities, while illegal immigration has become a major concern for North Carolina families. McCready even called Gov. Cooper’s veto of the bill mandating North Carolina sheriffs’ cooperation with ICE “the right call.”
- Despite denouncing dark money just last year, the Washington Free Beacon reported that House Majority Forward, a dark money group, has recently announced an investment of $500,000 to support McCready’s campaign. He also benefited from shady, dark spending during his initial 2018 congressional bid.
- Dan McCready has gone on the record vowing to be tough on China, but invested in a company that outsourced jobs to China and also imported devices from Huawei, a company blacklisted as a national security threat by the United States.
