President Trump Delivers Once Again

- December 15, 2020

Frontline Workers Began Receiving The First Coronavirus Vaccines This Week, A “Remarkable” Feat Made Possible By President Trump’s “Historic” Operation Warp Speed That Developed A Vaccine, A Process That Normally Takes Years, In Just 11 Months

WHEN PRESIDENT TRUMP PROMISED A VACCINE BY THE END OF THE YEAR, THE MEDIA DECLARED IT IMPOSSIBLE

In May, NBC News posted a “fact check” refuting President Trump’s promise that a COVID-19 vaccine would begin distribution before the end of 2020, saying that it would take a “miracle” to deliver a coronavirus vaccine before spring 2020.

ABC News reported that experts they interviewed expressed skepticism about the feasibility of delivering a vaccine by the end of the year.

NBC News in November: There is no evidence that an effective vaccine will be delivered by the end of the year.

Less than two months ago, USA Today published a “fact check” claiming a “COVID-19 vaccine won't be ready in weeks.”

THIS WEEK, VACCINATIONS BEGAN ACROSS THE COUNTRY AS MORE THAN 500 DISTRIBUTION CENTERS ACROSS 50 STATES RECEIVED INITIAL SHIPMENTS OF THE VACCINE

Vaccinations rolled out across the country Monday, with doctors and nurses at hospitals nationwide injecting one another as part of a federal plan to prioritize front-line health-care workers.

The first shipments of nearly 3 million doses arrived at 145 distribution centers across 50 states Monday, with an additional 425 sites getting shipments today and the remaining 66 on Wednesday.

The immunization campaign will rapidly expand in the days ahead, with some states beginning to include nursing homes; officials expect 20 million people to receive the first dose by the end of the year.

The initial distribution of 2.9 million doses will come as much-needed relief for medical workers and for residents and staffers at long-term care facilities.

Efforts are expected to be bolstered by a vaccine developed by Moderna, which is currently being reviewed by federal regulators.

An independent advisory panel of experts is expected to recommend authorization of the Moderna vaccine Thursday, meaning distribution of an additional six million doses could then begin next week

THE “ASTOUNDING” TIMELINE OF VACCINE DEVELOPMENT AND DISTRIBUTION HAS BEEN WIDELY ATTRIBUTED TO THE SUCCESS OF PRESIDENT TRUMP’S “HISTORIC” OPERATION WARP SPEED

CNN: The “success” of Operation Warp Speed is on display as vaccinations begin around the country.

Time: “To be sure, the breakneck pace of COVID-19 vaccine development is a major accomplishment, given that such a process normally takes years—and certainly much credit goes to the Operation Warp Speed investments.”

CNN: The “historic” Operation Warp Speed is an “incredible achievement.”

Admiral Brett Giroir: The Trump Administration “eliminated all bureaucratic barriers” and delivered a vaccine as a result of “outstanding leadership and capability.”

Dr. Slaoui: The vaccine is a great accomplishment by science “enabled by the U.S. government.”

Dr. Fauci: The speed of vaccine development means the science that got us here was “extraordinary.”

NIH Director Dr. Collins: It is “astounding” that in just 11 months we have developed a vaccine.

NBC’s Chuck Todd: “It’s quite remarkable that we have a vaccine in such a short period of time.”
