President Trump Is Taking Action To Address The Opioid Crisis

A powerful piece today in the Washington Post outlines the “fentanyl failure” and the lack of response from President Obama to act on the opioid crisis, despite mounting deaths and warnings from experts.

Unlike his predecessor, President Trump has made combatting the opioid crisis a top priority and has taken decisive action to help families across Michigan stop the scourge of opioids.  

By declaring the opioid crisis a National Public Health Emergency, President Trump has mobilized his entire administration in this fight, has signed new laws that help to combat the opioid epidemic, and has dedicated billions of dollars in funding to help communities find solutions.
