Today, President Trump reminded the country, “We will rally together as one nation and we will defeat the virus.”

And Amb. Deborah Birx explained, the Trump admin has “taken very bold action to stop the virus.”
As part of the Trump admin’s aggressive response to coronavirus, President Trump announced new guidelines for the American people for the next 15 days.
On the vaccine front, NIH’s Dr. Anthony Fauci explained that a vaccine trial for coronavirus has begun at a record pace.

Unfortunately, there has been a significant amount of false reporting where multiple reporters omitted a key portion of President Trump’s call with governors.
And to squash another partisan talking point, it is completely debunked that the White House dissolved the pandemic response office.
As Tim Morrison wrote in The Washington Post, “It is this reorganization that critics have misconstrued or intentionally misrepresented. If anything, the combined directorate was stronger because related expertise could be commingled.”
Bottom Line: President Trump has risen to the occasion and is directing a whole-of-government approach to mitigate coronavirus.
