A new poll out from Morning Consult shows Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo is one of the LEAST popular Governors in the country – and the least popular Democrat running for reelection this year – with 50% of her constituents disapproving of her tenure in Providence. This abysmal rating is an increase from just three months ago.
Too bad for Raimondo, this is just the icing on the cake of her terrible week after the Rhode Island Auditor General’s office released a report on a number of serious issues from state programs under her reckless leadership.
If you’re wondering why her approval rating is so bad, just take a look at how Rhode Island stacks up nationally:
- CNBC ranked Rhode Island as the state with the worst infrastructure.
- Forbes ranked Rhode Island as 43rd out of 50 for states to do business in.
- CNBC ranked Rhode Island even lower, at 45th out of 50 states for business.
“First, Reckless Raimondo’s ‘leadership’ was uncovered to be impacting the elderly and less fortunate. Now, with a struggling business environment and crumbling infrastructure, she is one of the least popular Governors in the country. As Rhode Islanders continue to reject Gina Raimondo’s failed leadership, Republicans are ready to lead with a new vision in Providence.” —RNC Spokesperson Ellie Hockenbury
