RNC And RPV Announce Virginia AAPI Advisory Council

- October 28, 2013

WASHINGTON – Today the Republican National Committee (RNC) and the Republican Party of Virginia (RPV) announced the formation of the Republican Asian American and Pacific Islander Advisory Council for Virginia. The council has been instrumental in our engagement efforts in the AAPI community as we head into Election Day and will continue to formally advise and assist the Party with building long-term relationships within AAPI communities throughout the Commonwealth.
This is the latest step in the RNC’s implementation of the recommendations of the Growth and Opportunity Project in coordination with state parties across the country and is focused on communicating a positive, inclusive message and more importantly listening to the concerns of our diverse communities.
“At the RNC, we’ve made a commitment to being a party for every state, every community, and every neighborhood,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “This is one of many steps toward making that vision a reality and putting Republicans in a stronger position to win in competitive states like Virginia. Our Party’s principles and belief in unlimited opportunity for every American resonate in every community and by expanding our engagement efforts we will bring even more new faces in under the Republican tent. I appreciate the continued commitment of these community leaders and the Republican Party of Virginia as we move forward with this historic effort.”
“Today marks another step in our effort to grow the Republican Party and bring more Virginians into the fold,” said RPV Chairman Pat Mullins. “I have appreciated the advice and counsel of these leaders over the course of this campaign season and I look forward to their continued involvement as we work to earn the support of such a vibrant and important community in the weeks, months, and years ahead.”
