WASHINGTON – Today, the Republican National Committee announced the completion of its first wave of State Director hires; the RNC now has twelve directors in place across the country. Today’s announcement is a significant milestone as the Republican Party expands its presence into new communities across the country. In the coming months, the RNC will continue to hire staff in all fifty states and build the most expansive infrastructure of any party to date. As of today, the RNC has State Directors in California, Florida, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
“We’re building the most expansive field program the GOP has ever seen, and we’re doing it earlier than ever before,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “Republicans have never made this kind of investment in an off year. The RNC will be in communities engaging with and listening to voters where they live, work, and worship--not months, but years before Election Day. Our State Directors will play key roles in building a permanent field operation to be successful in elections this year, in 2014, in 2016, and beyond.”
