RNC Announces Second Wave of State Director Hires

- November 7, 2013

WASHINGTON – Today, the Republican National Committee (RNC) announced a second wave of state directors in partnership with our state parties ahead of the 2014 elections. The RNC now has state directors and support staff across nearly half of the country and in every crucial 2014 state heading into the midterm elections. The RNC’s field staff are busy implementing a person-to-person grassroots organizing program to communicate with voters. Under the RNC’s new model, the ground game will be built from the bottom-up, with staff and volunteers focused on communicating and engaging with voters at the precinct level.

Today’s announcements include new state directors in Alaska, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, New Hampshire, New York, and South Carolina.

“Heading into 2014 the RNC is on the ground organizing in neighborhoods across the country earlier than we’ve ever been before,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “We are working with state parties and campaigns to build an infrastructure that will help us take back the Senate, keep the House and elect Republican governors, while laying the foundation for success in 2016. With our historic ground game investments we’re on a path to victory.”

As of today, the RNC has state directors in Alaska, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
