WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus and Co-Chairman Sharon Day released the following message commemorating Hanukkah:
“This evening marks the beginning of the eight-day celebration of Hanukkah” said Chairman Priebus. “As Jewish families gather together to mark the occasion, we at the Republican National Committee join them in celebrating the Festival of Lights.”
“While the story of Hanukkah dates back over two millennia, the values of perseverance and faith that it honors are timeless. Americans of all faiths can find inspiration in the story of the Maccabees.”
“I want to wish everyone a Happy Hanukkah,” said Co-Chairman Day. “For our Jewish friends and family, may this be a time of spiritual renewal and a blessed eight nights surrounded by loved ones.
