RNC Chairman Reince Priebus Statement on MA Senate Primary

- May 1, 2013

WASHINGTON – RNC Chairman Reince Priebus released the following statement congratulating Gabriel Gomez on winning the Republican primary for the U.S. Senate special election in Massachusetts.

“I want to congratulate Gabriel Gomez on his victory and express my appreciation to all three Republican candidates for running.

“For Massachusetts voters tired of out-of-touch politicians and a dysfunctional Washington, D.C., Gabriel is the right candidate at the right time. He will bring a fresh perspective to the challenges facing the country and the state, helping to move America in the right direction,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus.

“In contrast, his opponent in the upcoming general election won’t offer anything new. As an entrenched Washington liberal, he’ll just pack up his office, move down the street and get right back to work raising taxes, spending money we don’t have and ignoring the urgent need to create jobs.

“That’s why Gabriel Gomez is the best choice for Massachusetts. He’ll be a commonsense legislator, who will put the interests of the Bay State before his own.

“His business experience will guide him to make decisions that will put more money back in the pockets of hardworking Americans--not in the pockets of federal bureaucrats. And he’ll work to grow Massachusetts’ economy--not Washington’s economy.

“Gabriel Gomez has served his country honorably. He’ll bring that same sense of duty to the United States Senate.”
