WASHINGTON – With the help of Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), the Republican National Committee is celebrating Juneteenth and the dedication of the Frederick Douglass statue at the U.S. Capitol in a new video, “Frederick Douglass: Freedom In Action.”
“As Senator Scott expressed so eloquently, Frederick Douglass not only fought for justice and equality for African Americans, he fought for the freedoms of all Americans,” said Chairman Reince Priebus. “Douglass was a transformational figure who understood the promise of the American Dream and stood for the progression of all people.”
