WASHINGTON – Today at the RNC Summer Meeting, the RNC released an inside look at the foundation the party is building in communities across the nation. The RNC is putting staff on the ground who know the communities. They’re listening to voters’ concerns and building a robust, permanent field operation.
A new video, “A Day In The Life Of A Field Staffer,” follows Will Batista, a field director in Virginia, who is one of hundreds across the nation who will be working to engage voters and build an unprecedented off-year field operation. The RNC is opening offices and recruiting precinct directors to build a strong foundation—and to stay there.
“From updating our data and digital plan to expanding our ground game—we’re a year-round party putting boots on the ground in communities we’ve never been in,” said Chairman Priebus. “We can’t show up a few months before an election and expect to earn voters’ trust. That’s why we’ll be in communities year-round—growing the party in 2014, in 2016, and beyond.”
