WASHINGTON – On Saturday, the Republican National Committee (RNC) will bring the “Blackboard to Blacktop: Getting Ready to Run” educational workshop for women to Denver, Colorado. The all day event will include sessions on improving grassroots operations, communications, fundraising efforts, networking and social media for women who are looking to be involved in leadership roles in politics.
“After three successful ‘Blackboard to Blacktop: Getting Ready to Run’ workshops, I’m excited that we are able to bring the workshop to Colorado for women living in the surrounding area. My hope is that following the workshop the participants will be equipped with the skills needed to succeed whether they are running a campaign, running for office or volunteering for their local Republican office,” said RNC Co-Chair Sharon Day. “Our goal is to have more female leaders in politics and that starts with encouraging and empowering Republican women.”
The fourth “Blackboard to Blacktop: Getting Ready to Run” training will be held Saturday, October 26, 2013 in Denver, Colorado.
This will be an ongoing program with more announcements to come. The first wave of workshops will continue in the following cities following sessions in Providence, Chicago and Orlando:
- Denver, Colorado
- Seattle, Washington
- Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- Atlanta, Georgia
