RNC Hosts "Blackboard to Blacktop: Getting Ready to Run" Workshop in Florida

WASHINGTON – On Thursday, the Republican National Committee (RNC) will hold the third “Blackboard to Blacktop: Getting Ready to Run” educational workshop in Orlando, Florida coinciding with the Florida Federation of Republican Women Biennial Convention. The workshop will include sessions on improving grassroots operations, communications, fundraising efforts, networking and social media.  
 
“I am thrilled to bring ‘Blackboard to Blacktop: Getting Ready to Run’ to my home state of Florida,” said RNC Co-Chair Sharon Day. “By continuing the workshop in Florida, we will encourage and empower women to be successful in leadership positions and give them the tools to succeed.”

The third “Blackboard to Blacktop: Getting Ready to Run” workshop will be held Thursday, October 24, 2013 in Orlando, Florida. The workshop will include presentations headed by several seasoned female Republican strategists.
 
This will be an ongoing program with more announcements to come. The first wave of workshops will continue in the following cities following two successful sessions in Providence and Chicago:

  • Orlando, Florida
  • Denver, Colorado
  • Seattle, Washington
  • Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
  • Atlanta, Georgia
