RNC Hosts "Blackboard to Blacktop: Getting Ready to Run" Workshop in Seattle

WASHINGTON – On Saturday, the Republican National Committee (RNC) will bring the “Blackboard to Blacktop: Getting Ready to Run” educational workshop for women to Seattle, Washington. The event will include sessions on improving grassroots operations, communications, fundraising efforts, networking and social media. The workshop is for all Republican women who are eager to become leaders in politics.

“We can all agree that we need more female leaders in politics and that starts with encouraging and empowering women,” said RNC Co-Chair Sharon Day. “Whether they are running for office, running a campaign or volunteering at their local Republican office, the ‘Blackboard to Blacktop: Getting Ready to Run’ workshop will provide the tools women need to succeed.”

The “Blackboard to Blacktop: Getting Ready to Run” workshop will be held Saturday, November 2, 2013 in Seattle, Washington. The ongoing program will continue in the following cities:

  • Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
  • Atlanta, Georgia
