WASHINGTON -- Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus and Co-Chair Sharon Day released the following statement on POW/MIA Recognition Day:
“Today we remember and honor members of our armed forces who suffered behind enemy lines as prisoners of war, and those who have never returned home from the battlefield,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “We express the deepest gratitude for their heroic service, and we hope and pray that those missing in action would be reunited with their families soon.”
“God bless our troops who paid a high price for our freedom as prisoners of war, as well as those who are missing in action,” said RNC Co-Chair Sharon Day. “Let us never give up on praying for their safe return and a spirit of comfort and hope for their families. As the POW/MIA flag flies today, we should all take time to contemplate their sacrifices and remember all of our men and women in uniform.”
