WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus and Co-Chairman Sharon Day released the following statement marking Erev Rosh Hashanah:
“As Jewish families begin to celebrate Rosh Hashanah at sundown today, we wish them a very happy and blessed New Year,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus.
“This is a time for joy and peace, renewal and reflection. In America and around the world, those of the Jewish faith will celebrate rich and ancient traditions with family and friends, while reflecting on the past year and looking toward the one ahead. As always, our friends in Israel remain in our prayers.”
“We extend good wishes to all those marking Rosh Hashanah,” said RNC Co-Chair Sharon Day. “May the sounds of the shofar and the smells of apples and honey bring a sweet and happy New Year. L’shanah tovah!”
