WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus and Co-Chairman Sharon Day released the following New Year’s message:
“With the New Year comes new opportunities and new beginnings, and I want to wish everyone a happy and prosperous 2015!” said Chairman Priebus.
“After the historic elections of 2014, newly-elected Republicans will soon take office across the country. Our party will now lead the U.S. Senate, and with our new, more diverse majority in both houses of Congress, Republicans will work to make 2015 a year of strong economic growth and job creation. We hope President Obama will support those efforts.
“Republicans will lead more state legislative chambers than ever. Thirty-one Republican governors will serve as their states’ chief executives. And the Republican majority in the House is larger than at any point since 1928. The American people indeed wanted 2015 to be a year of Republican leadership, and our party intends to deliver.”
“I want to wish everyone a happy and blessed New Year,” said Co-Chairman Sharon Day. “As we look back at last year and look forward to the year ahead, it’s my prayer that 2015 has great things in store for us—for our families, our communities, our nation, and our world. We ask God for His blessings on America, our people, and especially the brave men and women of our armed services.”
