“We wish everyone observing the holy month of Ramadan a blessed period of prayer, reflection, and spiritual discipline,” said Chairwoman McDaniel. “We are inspired by our friends in the Muslim-American community as they begin this time of fasting and contemplation. May all Americans adopt the same spirit of charity and prayer that defines this holy month.”
