President Trump’s 4th of July Salute to America and the 2020 Re-election

Team GOP - August 8, 2019

On July 4th, President Trump celebrated Independence Day in a Salute to America in front of one of our greatest national monuments, the Lincoln Memorial. The President began his address proclaiming “we come together as one nation…” to “celebrate our history, our people, and the heroes who proudly defend our flag – the men and women of the United States Military.”

At several points, the President stopped to allow for demonstrations of American air power overflying the National Mall and the assembled crowd, and throughout the course of his speech, he expressed praise and admiration for each of the service branches and their great legacies.

This President has kept the promises he made to prioritize our military and the men and women who have served in uniform, and he has made clear he intends to keep this a number one priority. Last month, the President announced his official reelection kickoff, and our fellow service members and veterans enthusiastically stand behind the President’s efforts. We look forward to another four years, and we invite all veterans to visit GOP.com for great information and to see how you can get involved in helping reelect President Donald J. Trump to a second term in the White House!
