Sleepin’ Joe’s Worst Nightmare

Michael Joyce - May 17, 2018

A new poll was released this morning showing Sleepin’ Joe Donnelly trailing to Mike Braun by one point.

Considering the fact that Braun just won the GOP primary last Tuesday and is already ahead of Sleepin’ Joe speaks volumes about Hoosiers dissatisfaction with Donnelly. But wait, there’s more! Hoosiers said that they’re more likely to support a candidate who supports the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and also approve of President Trump’s decision to pull out of the bad Iran deal. It’s almost as if Hoosiers want their elected officials to support Hoosier values in Washington, something Sleepin’ Joe has failed to do consistently over the past decade. The same poll also brought good news for Republicans in Congress, signaling that a blue wave probably won’t be coming to Indiana shores this November.

“This new poll shows what Hoosiers already know; Sleepin’ Joe Donnelly hasn’t represented Hoosier values in Washington and they want to replace him with an outsider and conservative leader in businessman Mike Braun. From supporting Obamacare to opposing President Trump’s tax cuts, Hoosiers have seen that Donnelly is nothing more than a yes man for Chuck Schumer in Washington and come November, Hoosiers will finally have someone fighting for them in Mike Braun.” –RNC Spokesperson Michael Joyce
