#TBT Ready, Set, Flip-Flop!

Renae Eze - June 7, 2018

We don’t have to throwback too far this Thursday…

Less than a month ago, Kyrsten Sinema flip-flopped on her support for the Iran deal after the RNC called her out for her silence on President Trump withdrawing from the agreement. Now, a new revelation about the Obama Administration’s dealings with Iran has restarted the clock on Sinema’s flip-flops as she remains silent on the issue.

Back in 2015, Kyrsten Sinema was one of 25 House Democrats to vote against President Obama’s Iran deal, saying "the risks ... outweigh the rewards." Well, more of those risks have come to light. Yesterday’s AP story exposed that the Obama Administration lied to the American people by issuing a license that would have bypassed U.S. sanctions to allow Iran to exchange billions of dollars of money through U.S. banks to convert Omani Rials into Euros.

So it’s not a matter of if but when Kyrsten Sinema flip-flops again on the Iran deal.

“The recent news about the Obama administration giving Iran access to U.S. financial institutions shows incredibly poor judgement made by Kyrsten Sinema when she flip-flopped for political gain. President Trump pulling out of the bad Iran deal was clearly the right decision, and Arizonans deserve to know if Sinema still stands by Democratic party leaders Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi in opposing the withdrawal.” – RNC Spokesperson Renae Eze
